Diastasis Recti – A lot of women suffer from a condition called Diastasis Recti after delivery. Your six pack abdominal muscle called Rectus Abdominis is joined on its two sides by a soft tissue called the Linea Alba. During pregnancy this Linea Alba stretches to accommodate the growing fetus and joins back post delivery. Due to a weakness in the muscle, many times this does not happen, causing a separation in the Rectus Abdominis. This separation is called Diastasis Recti. Because of this a woman may look pregnant several years after delivery, as your stomach does not go in.
Uterine Prolapse – It is the dropping down from its position or exerting pressure on the bladder of the uterus, causing you to urinate frequently, or the descent of the uterus into the vaginal canal, due to a weakness in its supporting muscles, or even its protrusion through the vagina.
Cystocele – Bladder Prolapse is called Cystocele.
Umbilical Hernia – A lot of women have umbilical hernia, for which they are advised surgery. When an organ or a tissue bulges out through an opening (generally a weak surrounding muscle wall) this is called Hernia. When it happens in the stomach it’s called umbilical hernia.
