Onion Bhajia
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized onions, sliced lengthwise, medium-fine
 - 4 heaped tbsp gram flour (besan)
 - ¼ tsp unrefined salt
 - ¼ tsp red chilli powder
 - ¼ tsp turmeric (haldi) powder
 - Chilli – ginger paste to taste
 - Carom seeds (ajwain) to taste
 
Method
Mix all the ingredients together and allow to stand for about 2 minutes. The onions will release water, which will help the ingredients to bind together. Place these on a parchment paper lined baking tray in little blobs of about 1 tbsp and bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C, until they begin to brown. Serve hot with chutney and/or ketchup.
