Pre and Post Natal Yoga Programme – 2nd Batch
Friday 20th May—Sunday 12th June 2022
Online on Zoom, Online Events
A child is the gift of the universe to a woman. A woman is the carrier of the wonder of nature for a little over 9 months then for its growth and upbringing. She is the creator of mankind.
In India, we actually pray for a child. In that crucial period while she creates him or her, she shapes his intellect, his mind, his thought processing, even his decision table ability, his body, whether he will be physically strong or weak, in short a lot of aspects through her state of physical being and then through her thoughts.
Who does not wish to give birth to a healthy child? Or an intelligent, understanding child who is useful to himself, his family, the society he lives in, country and the world? But do we know how to go about it? How many of us know that a healthy, intelligent, beautiful child can be conceived? Or that such a conception can be planned?
Here comes the concept of “Garbhasanskaar” – How to shape your child?
To be able to give birth to such a child, a woman’s body has to be healthy, free of diseases, her mind calm, accepting, and receiving. During the period of pregnancy her state of mind to a large extent, decides or forms the mind of the child. She should know how to take care of her body and mind – her emotions, her thoughts, her physical body all undergo enormous changes, she will never be the same woman.
She should also receive guidance about nutrition. What to eat, what not to eat, how to think, how to manage thoughts, emotions, fatigue etc.
Pregnancy yoga develops your physical strength, mental calmness, self awareness, pelvic floor stretching, chest opening, back strengthening, breathing and using the capacity of the lungs to maximum, better weight management during pregnancy, and easy labour, all these while being on a WFPB lifestyle. During pregnancy it increases the Prana (energy) in the body, helps improve sleep patterns, helps you relax, and create positive feelings in a woman. Pregnancy Yoga decreases stress and anxiety levels in your body. It also teaches a woman to connect with herself and her unborn child.
Welcome to the Pre and Post Natal Yoga programme by our Certified Pregnancy Yoga Teacher, Sharmila Kannan
