Dubai based Tejasvi Parekh’s PCOD issues vanished in 3 months!
I have had an on and off relationship with PCOD since over 10 years. High insulin resistance and testosterone levels were my symptoms. During the most recent episode last year, I got quite tired of consuming so much medication, which had its own side effects. That’s when a friend introduced me to SHARAN. I was very skeptical initially since I’ve been a milk and milk products lover. I love having milkshakes, cheese, ice cream, yoghurt, paneer and suddenly it would all be gone!
However, since I was tired of the medicines, I took a consultation and with Madhura Ma’am’s guidance I learnt how to tackle those cravings. Instead of making me refrain from consuming these items, she gave me alternatives that levelled up in taste and had minimal negative effects on my body. I could actually feel the difference and guess what in just 3 months, with absolutely no medication, all my PCOD reports came normal!
I’d say, whatever your doubts may be, just give this lifestyle a try. It may seem hard at first but once you realise that there are alternatives to everything you will barely feel restricted and will relish both food and life in its’ full sense!

Causes of PCOD
SHARAN recommends a whole food plant based, organic diet because that’s what our bodies are designed for, and this naturally helps overcome PCOS and PCOD. Whenever we want to get rid of a problem, we should understand and remove the causes of that problem. PCOD and other hormonal diseases are caused by hormonal imbalances which in turn may be caused by the following –
1. Hormones in diet
All animal products including dairy are likely to be high in hormones. Not only do these animals produce hormones like we do, but they are often given more hormones for higher productivity.
|
2. Hormonal medications
Like steroids, oral contraceptives, and medicines to treat PCOD and infertility are hormones. Although these medicines may control symptoms, they can never solve the problem and may upset the balance even further.
|
3. Chemicals in the food
Chemicals are hormone disruptors. Make sure that all your food is organic, and avoid packaged and processed food. Avoid the use of plastics and aluminium packaging or cooking materials.
|
4. Chemicals in personal care products
Medicines, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, hair dyes, lotions, perfumes, cosmetics, deodorants, hand-sanitizers etc. are all sources of chemicals entering our body.
|
5. Chemicals in home care products
Air fresheners, mosquito repellents, incense, detergents, fabric softeners, surface cleaners enter our bodies through inhalation or touch.
|
6. Chemicals in the environment
We can do less about this, but we can avoid polluting it.
|
7. Lack of Vitamin D
Vitamin D is also a hormone.
|
8. Fat
Fat holds on to hormones in our body. Therefore it’s important to avoid all foods rich in fat – oil, ghee, butter, as well as all animal products.
|
9. Lack of Fibre
Fibre helps to clean out the fats. Only unrefined plant foods are rich in fibre.
