Black Sesame Seed Chutney Powder

Ingredients

  • 100 gms black sesame seeds
  • 40 gms urad dhal
  • 25 gms roasted chana dal
  • 20 gms curry leaves
  • 10 red chillies (adjust according to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp asafoetida powder
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • Tamarind –  a small size
  • Tamarind –  a small size
  • Tamarind –  a small size
  • A small ball of tamarind

Method

Dry roast sesame seeds, urad dhal, red chillies , channa dhal and curry leaves till dry and crisp. Then add asafoetida and keep aside to cool.

Powder coarsely all the ingredients with tamarind and salt.

Finally add the garlic and give 2 to 3 pulses in the bleander.

Store in an air-tight container.

Variation

Use flax seeds instead of sesame seeds
