Red Chilli-Garlic Chutney (Thecha)

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup broken dry red chillies
  • 100 g garlic
  • 2 tbsp roasted Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1 – 2 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Unrefined salt to taste
  • 2 – 3 tbsp water

Method

Combine all the ingredients together and grind to a smooth paste in a blender or a stone grinder.

Refrigerate and use as required.
